COVID-19

COVID-19 Update

Updated Aug. 12, 2021

The Town of Holly Springs remains committed to keeping the community safe by following the latest CDC and NCDHHS guidelines.

Town Facilities

  • Masks are required to be worn inside Town of Holly Springs government facilities by everyone over 5 years of age, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required for outside activities
    • The requirement, effective Aug. 6, came on the heels of the Centers for Disease Control recommendation that everyone in areas designated as "substantial community spread" for COVID wear a mask in public indoor settings, even those people who are fully vaccinated, to help reduce the spread of the Delta variant. Wake County is now an area with substantial community spread.

    • For information on free vaccinations available in Wake County, visit www.wakegov.com/vaccine.

  • Masks are optional at parks, greenways and playgrounds. Gathering restrictions are lifted at Ting Stadium, and at indoor and outdoor events.
  • Masks are optional at the Holly Springs Farmers Market.

Town Council Meetings

  • Social distancing and gathering restrictions in the Council Chambers are lifted, and Holly Springs Town Council meetings will continue to be live streamed so anyone can choose to watch or listen virtually.

Indoor Parks & Recreation Children's Programming (17 years and younger)

  • Children in town-related indoor programs are required to wear masks while inside in accordance with NCDHHS guidelines.
  • Masks outdoors are optional.
  • All Parks & Recreation staff who interact with children indoors will continue wearing masks.
