July 28 Update
The moment residents have all been waiting for: The turf fields at Womble Park have been replaced and are officially open for play... just in time for the rec soccer season! Click here for open play hours on the turf.
The project involved replacing the top carpet with brand-new, denser material. New rubber and sand filler were combined with existing filler that was cleaned and rejuvenated, giving the turf a fresh bounce.
