9/11 Ceremony at Fire Station 1
Monday, September 11, 2023
The Holly Springs community is invited to attend this annual gathering at Fire Station 1 hosted by the Holly Springs Fire Department to remember the lives lost because of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony is at the fire station's 9/11 memorial, which includes a piece of steel from the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
The gathering begins at 8:30 a.m. During and following the ceremony, a bell will be rung, corresponding with the times of significant moments from that morning. Attendees are invited to stay as long as desired after the ceremony and to bring a flower to place at the memorial during any of the moments of observation that will continue through 10:28 a.m.
