Town Announces Happy Holly Days Events

Happy Holly Days Events

While holiday celebrations will look different this year due to COVID-19, the Town of Holly Springs invites you to save the date to come out and enjoy some socially distanced Happy Holly Days fun.

Events include a drive-in movie, a decorated Happy Holly Days tree trail and socially distanced performances, an interactive map to guide drivers to the best holiday decorations in town, and more!

Because the town’s traditional Main Street Christmas and Happy Holly Days Parade attract such large numbers of people, and because of the state’s COVID-19 gathering restrictions and parade prohibition, the town has made the decision not to hold these events this year and to instead focus planning efforts on socially distanced, in-person activities that meet state guidelines. These include:

Santa's Mailbox

Monday afternoon, Nov. 23-Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020
Mailbox outside Town Hall

Does your child have a special Christmas wish that they’re hoping reaches Santa in time? Kids can eliminate the guesswork by writing to the Big Man himself. Details

Happy Holly Days Tree Trail

Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 10-12, Noon-9 p.m. (last person in gates at 8:30 p.m.)
Ting Stadium

Stroll around the Ting Stadium concourse and beer garden areas and enjoy up to 50 trees festively decorated by local businesses, organizations and families.

Come during the day to enjoy the trees with fewer people, or come after dark to enjoy the trees twinkling with lights (stadium capacity will be limited per state guidelines). The Salamanders concession will be open designated hours during the event featuring hot chocolate with assorted flavors and toppings, hot apple cider, seasonal coffee offerings, and ballpark favorite foods.

Music and dance performances will be scheduled on the stadium field following state gathering restrictions and social distancing guidelines.

Polar Express Drive-in Movie

Friday, Dec. 11, 7 p.m.
Sugg Farm

Celebrate the season by enjoying the Polar Express movie on the big screen right from your vehicle at Sugg Farm. Tickets will be sold per vehicle, so you can bring as many people as you have seat belts. The number of tickets sold will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions and movie screen size. Make sure to have an FM radio so the sound can stream to your vehicle. Food trucks will be available on site.

Tickets are $20 per vehicle and can be purchased online at www.recconnect.us (use keyword "polar" when searching for tickets) or in person at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. You can also call the Cultural Center Box Office at 919-567-4000 to purchase tickets.

Happy Holly Days Decorations Drive Through

Dec. 13-25

Do you love to look at holiday decorations? This year, after decking out your Holly Springs home exterior or business storefront window display for the holidays, submit your address and a photograph to be included in an interactive map.

The map, which coordinates with Google Maps and Apple Maps, will navigate drivers to the nearest decorations and through the locations on the map. Deadline to sign up with your display is Dec. 6. Click here to enter your information to be included on the map.

And more events to be announced soon...

Details about additional events and activities will be announced soon, including the lighting of the tree in front of the Cultural Center.
