With Thanksgiving this month and winter holidays just around the corner, opportunities to give back and celebrate the season abound with the Town of Holly Springs! In advance of the holidays, make your list and check it twice so you don’t miss anything!

Santa's Mailbox

Tree Lighting

Dec. 1, 5-8 p.m.| Downtown Holly Springs / Cultural Center 

Enjoy live performances and more before the annual tree lighting on the Cultural Center lawn at 8 p.m 

Holly Day Express

Dec. 5-18 

Thanks to the help of the Holly Springs Fire Department, Santa Claus is hopping on a float and being escorted by Fire vehicles to a neighborhood street near you. Details

Happy Holly Days Parade

Saturday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m. | Downtown Holly Springs 

Floats, bands, dancers, decorated vehicles, marching groups and all sorts of entertaining entries travel Main Street through downtown. Details

Ways to Share Joy

Thanksgiving Holiday Hunger Relief

Through Nov. 14 | Law Enforcement Center

Help the Holly Springs Police Public Safety Cadets collect food to support local families this Thanksgiving! Drop off nonperishable donations, such as canned goods, cereal, and baby products, at the Law Enforcement Center, 750 Holly Springs Road, through Nov. 14. Items will be donated to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. 

U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots

Through Dec. 16 | Fire Stations 1 & 2

Donate unwrapped new toys.

Military Missions in Action

Through Nov. 28 | Fire Stations 1 & 2

Unwrapped new toys, gift cards or monetary donations for military and veteran families.

The Christmas Store

Nov. 21-Dec. 5 | Town Hall Lobby

Donate unwrapped gifts to be given to The Christmas Store, a local resource for families in need of support in purchasing holiday gifts.

Note in the Pocket

Nov. 21-Dec. 12 | Town Hall Lobby

Donate new packages of children’s underwear and socks for an organization that provides donated clothing to impoverished and homeless children in Wake County.

Angel Tree

Nov. 21-Dec. 20 | Holly Springs Law Enforcement Center 

Select a tag listing a child’s age, clothing size, and wish list items. Return wrapped or unwrapped gifts clearly labeled with the child’s age, clothing size, and wish list items. Return wrapped or unwrapped gifts clearly labeled with the child's specific Angel Tree tab by Dec. 20. Unable to pick a tag? New, unwrapped toys also are accepted to benefit the families in need who are part of this program. 

Shop with a Cop

Saturday, Dec. 17 

Holly Springs Police School Resource Officers partner with their local school counselors to identify and select students in need of holiday cheer. Students are paired with officers to go shopping for holiday presents for themselves and their families. Officers wrap the gifts and deliver the presents to each family closer to the holidays.
