Public Art

Eagles Landing Park will include world-class public art, with several installations crafted by the Creative Machines artist team. Art concepts were developed through an interactive process with staff, stakeholder groups, the public, and elected and appointed Town officials.

Ideas shared by Holly Springs residents helped select the words displayed in the park’s main public art piece, a large metal water droplet with different words and images cut into the metal. The droplet will be illuminated via internal LED lights. Park visitors can use one or two buttons to select the lighting color.

The droplet shape reflects the ties that the Town and the park site specifically have to the natural springs that enabled the first residents of Holly Springs to start a community here. The metal material and clean finish represent the modern Holly Springs, where the technology and life science industries thrive. A polished strip on the metal droplet will reflect the person enjoying the art so they can see themselves within the Holly Springs community and celebrate our Town's diversity.

Public Art

Three locations for art installations are planned along the central promenade.

  • The first piece visitors encounter when entering the park from Cass Holt Road will display text in various languages welcoming visitors to their park.
  • The second droplet along the promenade is proposed to be the largest of the three installations. Public input helped select the words included within this droplet.
  • The third droplet is planned for the recreation center's main entry plaza. This droplet will be filled with words that evoke the many activities park visitors can enjoy.
