Town Cemetery at 451 W. Earp St.

Holly Springs Cemetery is located on 8.54 acres at the corner of Earp and Burt streets. Plots at the cemetery are available for sale through the Town with consultation from Wake Funeral and Cremation Services. About Purchasing a Plot

One or more 5x10’ plots can be purchased. The Town provides a certificate of burial rights and a map. Before burial, the Town charges a $975 grave opening fee on behalf of Wake Memorial, the designated licensee for the Holly Springs Cemetery, to mark plots and open and close graves. Both caskets and urns may be buried in the Town’s cemetery, and a vault is required to seal remains.

Grave Decorations

Visitors may place flowers at grave sites in vases that are attached to the headstone or in a saddle designed for the purpose of attaching flowers to a headstone. United States flags are permitted on plots provided they are maintained in an appropriate manner. Please refer to the Cemetery Policy linked below, for complete rules.

More about the Cemetery

The Town’s cemetery holds the graves of some of the Town’s founding families. The property originally held an all-boys preparatory school and a church. After the church building was relocated to its present location, the Town acquired the church's cemetery and surrounding property.
