Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

The town's first day of service was hosted in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On January 17, fifty volunteers met at the Hunt Recreation Center to make 150 thank you cards and care packages for health care workers at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital. Due to cold weather conditions, the second service project hosted at Womble Park was postponed until February 19.

On February 19, thirteen volunteers worked together to make improvements on the horseshoe pits at Womble Park.

Additional days of service will be scheduled throughout the year. See our Volunteer page to apply to be a volunteer.
